The following work is planned in 2026:
- Blue North Mill, Kamiah, ID:
- Public open house will be held January 20, 2026 in the Tribe’s Water Resources Division Conference Room at 114 Veterans Drive, Lapwai, ID
- Planned topics include:
- Need for asbestos abatement to support reuse of the former mill
- Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (“ABCA”) for asbestos, which will include a discussion of cleanup costs
- EPA Brownfields Cleanup Grant proposal, which would seek funding to remove asbestos
- Future redevelopment planning
- Interested parties are encouraged to review the draft ABCA and attend the Public Open House
- Comments on the draft ABCA will be accepted from January 14-22, 2026 via the following:
